 Training Schedule

January 16, 2008

We are looking forward to providing our customers with GPS training this year.  We have modified the Trimble TerraSync/Pathfinder Office class.  It is now being taught in two days instead of three.

We continue to offer our ArcPad class, called ArcPad 7.1 for Mobile GIS.  This class is two days long and covers ArcPad with GPScorrect and uses Pathfinder Office as the post- processing software.

We have formally expanded our Advanced ArcPad class to three days.  It includes ArcPad, GPScorrect and uses GPS Analyst as the post-processing software.  We also teach how to create a Geodatabase, set the spatial reference, import feature classes and make extensive use of the Check-in, Check-out tool in ArcMap that facilitates smooth workflow from the office to the field and back to the office.

Currently, our classes teach and respective student workbooks use, the following versions of the software: ArcPad 7.1, GPScorrect 2.30, GPS Analyst 2.10, TerraSync 3.05, and Pathfinder Office 4.0.

Our 2008 training schedule is posted here.

GPS Analyst is an extension for ArcGIS 9.x that allows the user to download Trimble field data directly into ArcGIS, perform differential correction, data analysis, feature rebuilding and seamless integration into your personal geodatabase through a "check-in, check-out" process.

This powerful new software will allow the GIS professional to remain entirely in an ESRI environment.  This means not having to learn third-party software, like Trimble's Pathfinder Office, in order to convert data into a form that ArcGIS can understand.

We are excited about this new extension.  It finally creates the link by which a GIS professional can move from office, to field, and back to office, without leaving the ESRI GIS software environment.

We also have an online class for those who are using the ProXR with Asset Surveyor in the TSC-1 datalogger.  To find out more about his class, click here.

TerraSync™ is the data collection program from Trimble that runs in a variety of Windows CE devices.

We are organizing Advanced Classes this year.  Go to the link to tell us what topics you'd like to cover.

If you want to attend a GPS class in your city, let us know.  There may be enough interest for us to schedule a class there.  You can contact Jim Lahm at navpro@aol.com.
